Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This policy is for residents of Washington State under the My Health My Data Act, and for anyone else who wants a plain list of the health related information Milens handles. It adds to our Privacy Policy, which covers everything else.

1. Who we are

Milens is developed and published by Mucahit Sahin, an individual developer based in Bursa, Türkiye. Contact: [email protected].

2. What stays on your iPhone

Your photos and videos, weigh-ins, measurements, body readings taken from photos, and your exact weight and height are stored only on your iPhone. We never receive them and cannot see them. If you turn on Copy to my iCloud or Save new photos to Photos, Apple stores a copy in your own iCloud account or Photos library at your direction; we cannot access it.

3. Consumer health data we collect, and why

When you allow usage data, Milens sends us the answers you give during setup that may relate to your health: your body type, your goals and the areas you want to change, whether you want to lose or gain weight and roughly how much (in ranges such as 3 to 7 kg), and your time frame (also in ranges). We may also learn which broad ad theme brought you to Milens, for example weight or measuring.

We use this to understand which parts of Milens help people reach their goals, to fix what slows people down, and to learn which kinds of ads bring people who keep using the app. We do not use it to target ads at you, and we do not sell it.

Starting with version 1.3.1, none of this is sent unless you choose Allow usage data, and you can turn it off in Settings at any time. In earlier versions, these answers were sent with usage data without a separate question.

4. Where it comes from

Only from you, through the answers you give in the app.

5. Who receives it

The health related answers listed above are processed for us by PostHog, Inc. (product analytics, United States), under a data processing agreement that allows it to use the data only on our instructions. We do not share consumer health data with any other third party or affiliate, and we do not sell it. Crash reports (Sentry) and purchase records (Apple, RevenueCat) contain no consumer health data.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to confirm whether we hold consumer health data about you, to give you access to it together with the list of third parties it was shared with, and to delete it. You can withdraw your consent at any time: from version 1.3.1 by turning off Share usage data in Settings, which stops further collection. From version 1.3.1 you can also delete your analytics data directly in Settings with Delete my analytics data; we then ask PostHog to delete it as well.

To make any request, write to [email protected]. You do not need an account. Because we do not know who you are, we may ask for a detail that lets us find your data. We answer within 45 days, free of charge up to twice a year. If we need more time we tell you why within those 45 days, and we never take more than 45 further days.

7. Appeals

If we refuse your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with the word "appeal". We reply in writing within 45 days with our decision and the reasons for it. If we deny your appeal, you can file a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.

8. Changes

When Milens changes what consumer health data it collects, this page changes first, and the date at the top shows when.

This policy applies to the Milens iOS app and the milens.app website.
