The photo-day checklist
Lower belly pooch? From the side it is much easier to tell fat from posture. Five checks first, then one side photo a week.
From our video “Lower belly: fat or posture?”

Five side checks
Stand sideways to a mirror or prop your phone up. Each check takes a few seconds.

Stand sideways, relaxed
Look for a deep curve in your lower back and your butt pushed back. If you see both, your hips may be tipping forward, and that pushes the lower belly out.

Look at your waistband
Is it lower in front than in back? That is the same forward tip, seen on your clothes.

Squeeze and tuck
Squeeze your glutes and tuck your tailbone under. If the pooch shrinks right away, that part was posture. Fat can't leave in one second.

Tape at your belly button
Standing relaxed, wrap a tape at your belly button, level all the way round. Posture changes the number by the minute. Fat changes it by the week.

One side photo a week
Same spot, same light, about thirty seconds. One photo a week shows you what a single day can't.
Your photo-day checklist
Tick these off the first time you set up. After that, photo day is the same thirty seconds every week.
Let Milens line them up
Milens finds these photos in your camera roll, lines them up at the same size and reads waist and hip off the picture, so the camera difference stops getting in the way. Your photos stay on your phone.
